Series Description
All of the material presented in this
course is unique, developed by Sharon W. Giammatteo, Ph.D., P.T.. None
of the techniques in any of the courses have ever been presented by
any persons outside of DCR. This material has been developed during
the past several years: the result of almost 30 years of treating all
client populations with all avenues of manual therapy. W. Giammatteo’s
physical therapy education and training, enhanced by undergraduate learning
which culminated in a degree in Advanced Health Sciences and Medicine,
furthered by a graduate degree in Clinical Neurosciences, led her further
into clinical research and doctoral studies. The results of her Ph.D.
program included a degree reflecting expert knowledge in the field of
neuromusculoskeletal function, with a focus on the neurologic population.
Sharon has over a thousand hours of continuing education seminars with
the world’s recognized experts in cranial and manual therapy. She
is today considered a leader in the field of Integrative Manual Therapy_
for the orthopedic, neurologic, geriatric and pediatric population.
The faculty of The Cranial Therapy Series are among leaders in the field
of manual and cranial therapy. Their clinical expertise and experience
is recognized internationally, and their teaching abilities are remarkable.
‘Integrative’ means all-encompassing, inclusive, and comprehensive.
This exciting and unique content which is presented in The Cranial Therapy
Series is ‘integrative’ for all professionals, all health
care disciplines, and all client populations. The material will provide
a solution for headaches and migraines, spinal pain and disability,
chronic pain, cerebral palsy, closed and traumatic brain injury, and
all other orthopedic and neurologic client populations. The physical
and occupational therapist can restore movement and functional activities;
the speech therapist can address speech, swallowing and oral-motor function;
the psychotherapist and psychiatrist will be able to address organic
and endogenous problems; the body worker will improve health and wellness
for better living; and more.
