What is IMT?

It is implemented gently with human hands and has yielded dramatic results for people with a wide variety of ailments. IMT is based on a total body diagnostic and treatment approach. How do I make an appointment?
You make an appointment by calling (856) 874-1098 and speaking with the administrative assistant. At that time, she will ask you for your name, address, telephone and date of birth. She will also explain the payment policy, cancellation policy, scheduling procedure and insurance information. At that time, you will be sent information about the center, treatment methods and forms to be completed by you for your first appointment.

What do I need to bring to my initial evaluation?
After you make your appointment, you will be sent two packets of information to fill out. These packets are the INTAKE INFORMATION and some general information forms. Please have these completed when you come to the Center for your first appointment.

What do I wear to a treatment session?
We recommend that you wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothes and socks.

How much does a visit to CenterIMT Cherry Hill cost?

How long will it take until I feel better?

Will this treatment help my diagnosis?
With a positive attitude, this treatment will help your diagnosis.

What is the procedure for scheduling future appointments?
It is suggested that you bring a pocket calendar with you so you can set future appointments after your treatment session. At that time, the administrative assistant will pencil you in for your next session and future sessions. Some patients schedule for an entire month when speaking with the administrative assistant, while others just schedule for the next visit. However, it is suggested that you schedule as far in advance as you can to secure the times that you wish to come to the Center.

With whom should I reschedule for my next treatment session?
If the administrative assistant is at her desk at the time you finish your treatment session, you can speak with her directly. Otherwise, you can schedule with your therapist as everyone working for the Center has access to the schedule book.

What if I only want to see one therapist?
We appreciate any loyalty you may develop for one particular therapist, but since we work as a team at CenterIMT, it is recommended that you work with everyone to receive the best possible all-around treatment.

Will my child be able to tolerate a long treatment session?
At CenterIMT Cherry Hill, we take into consideration that a child may not be able to handle an extended therapy treatment. Therefore, we have a television equipped with a VCR and movies for your child’s enjoyment. Please feel free to have your child bring a favorite movie from home. Will I be able to see Sharon and/or Tom during my session?
Sharon and/or Tom are based in the Bloomfield Center and are not always physically in the different centers. However, we are in contact with them and they plan your treatments. When a class is being conducted at the center, they are in attendance.

What is a ‘CenterIMT Intensive’?
‘CenterIMT Intensives’ are led by Dr. Sharon Giammatteo and Dr. Tom Giammatteo and include many highly trained IMT practitioners from around the world. During these Intensives, Sharon and Tom are available for consultation and technical support and to assist in developing rehabilitation programs for CenterIMT clients. Generally, during these weeks, the clinic transforms into an ‘open-room’ setting where many patients and therapists work in one room. Private rooms are reserved mostly for young children (who require TV’s). The benefit of collaboration in this open-room setting is remarkable. Additionally, Sharon and Tom are able to participate in the assessment and treatment of all clients.

What is a ‘Pilot Program’?
CenterIMT Pilot Programs are led by ‘Stable-Force’ IMT Practitioners who are hand picked by Dr. Sharon Giammatteo for their extensive diagnostic training in the field of IMT. The Stable-Force IMT Practitioner, who is piloting, is joined by other high level IMT practitioners. During Pilot Programs, the Stable-Force practitioner is available for consultation and technical support and to assist in developing rehabilitation programs for CenterIMT clients. Will I receive a nutritional consultation involving supplement intervention and dietary recommendations?
Part of your overall IMT consult will be your nutritional consult. This consult will involve supplement intervention and dietary/lifestyle recommendations. Over the years, we have discovered that nutrition plays a very important role in healing of the body. If the body does not get adequate nutrition, healing is delayed. Results from IMT can be augmented with supplements and dietary intervention. Occasionally, we feel that nutritional intervention would be more beneficial after some IMT has been initiated. In this case, the nutritional consult will be performed at a later date.

Am I obligated to take the recommended supplements?
You are not obligated to take the recommended supplements. However, omitting any section of your plan may be less effective and less efficient for your overall healing process. When a nutritional consult is performed, supplements are usually recommended as a “package”. If you choose not to take some of the supplements, please specifically discuss this with your primary IMT therapist.
