Sue Leger, D.Sc., P.T., I.M.T.,C.

Sue Leger is the Director of Neurologic IMT for all CentersIMT, worldwide, and has her home base at CenterIMT Atlanta. She received her B.S. in Physical Therapy from the University of Florida in 1979 and her M.S. in exercise physiology from Louisiana State University in 1985. Sue is a neuroscience specialist with a Doctor of Science degree, Health science and Nutrition, from westbrook University (2004). Sue's dissertation was on 'The Effects of IMT on SCI Recovery.

Sue has worked with clients with spinal cord injuries since 1985. Sue has taught over 170 continuing education workshops, focusing primarily on biomechanical and neurological assessment; handling and movement; lower extremity biomechanics; gait; and the fabrication and function of lower extremity serial casts, splints and orthoses. She has been a speaker at numerous state, regional, and national conferences. Sue is faculty for The Connecticut School of Integrative Manual Therapy and Dialogues in Contemporary Rehabilitation, where she teaches courses in IMT. She is a co-developer, with Dr. Sharon Giammatteo, of IMT courses on stroke, a pediatric-neuro series, as well a series of certification courses on the ankle and foot.

Along with extensive training in IMT techniques, Sue has received in-depth training in many areas, including Neurodevelopmental Treatment (NDT), Acupressure, Cranial Sacral, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Motor Control and Learning, Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF), Sensory Integration and Praxis, Mechanical Link, and Visceral Manipulation. Her publications include: Significant Functional Gains Using Integrative Manual Therapy With a Patient Diagnosed With Cerebellar Ataxia and Peripheral Demylination, Lower Extremity Biomechanical Checklist for the Neurologically Involved, and Taping Applications for the Neurologically Involved.

 

Lori Hamann, M.S., P.T., I.M.P.,C.

Lori received her B.S. in Physical Education and Health from Moorhead State University in 1982, A.A.S. as a Physical Therapist Assistant from St. Mary’s Campus of St. Catherine’s in 1988 and M.S. in Physical Therapy from Regis University in 1997.
Lori has worked in the physical therapy field for the past 16 years. She has experience in orthopedics, spine and neurological rehabilitation, wound care, TMJ and facial palsy in primarily hospital and out patient facilities. Lori also owned her own business where she specialized in Integrated Manual Therapy. She has taken classes in muscle energy, Paris and Canadian manual therapy techniques, muscle imbalances, stroke, joint rehabilitation and integrated manual therapy.

Lori was previously an adjunct faculty member at Pueblo Community College in Colorado working with the Physical Therapist Assistant program. She also was on the advisory board for several years. She has coached and officiated girl’s athletics for many years prior to her physical therapy career.
Lori is presently the practice manager at Center IMT in Jacksonville, Florida. Her interests include neurology, spine, orthopedics, facial palsy and men and women’s health.

 

Lynda Quillen, M.A., I.M.P.,C.

Lynda Quillen graduated from University of Northern Colorado in 1975 with a Master’s Degree in Physical Education/Exercise Physiology. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education, Health and Recreation with a teaching emphasis in Health and Physical Education from the University of Northern Colorado in 1970. Before finding Integrative Manual Therapy, Lynda completed 30 years in the field of education completing a successful career as an educator, coach, and middle school principal.

Lynda has been studying Integrative Manual Therapy (IMT) since 2000. After completing over 40 IMT courses, Lynda ran her own private clinic for three years in Pueblo, Colorado. Prior to Lynda’s assignment to CenterIMT Jacksonville, she worked as a traveling therapist for five years working CenterIMT intensives in Boulder, Albuquerque, Connecticut, and Atlanta. Lynda has been training extensively with Sue Leger in Atlanta focusing on the spinal cord and neurological impaired clients.

Lynda served on the board that started the Integrative Manual Therapy Association and was elected the first President of the IMTA. Lynda now serves the IMTA board as the current past president.

Lynda feels her new career is a dream come true. It is exciting, challenging, and extremely rewarding. Lynda comes to work knowing she can make a profound change in people’s health. Lynda’s goal is to integrate Integrative Manual Therapy into schools, thus making a positive profound difference in all children’s lives.
