Jim Sullivan, OTR/L, IMTC
 

Jim earned his bachelors degree in Health Care Administration from Stonehill College in Easton, MA and his Masters in Occupational Therapy from UNC Chapel Hill. Throughout his career Jim has worked with a variety of patient populations including those recovering from brain injury, stroke, and spinal cord injury. Jim has years of experience in providing both structural and occupational-based therapies including aquatic therapy, cardiovascular rehabilitation and home safety assessments. He is constantly seeking new and improved treatment strategies and pursues continuing education in shoulder, hand, cranial, facial and visual rehabilitation. Jim enjoys treating children of all ages utilizing IMT as a tool to improve sensory processing and motor function. Jim is also a musician who delights in using IMT to help other musicians recover from repetitive strains and achieve optimal performance.

Jim is the Practice Manager for CenterIMT Asheville and has been studying Integrative Manual Therapy since 1997. He is certified in IMT, on faculty with Dialogues in Contemporary Rehabilitation, and is Director of both the Hand Therapy and Facial Rehabilitation Programs for CenterIMT.

 
 
 Laurie Lunn, PT, IMTC
 

Laurie received her bachelor’s of science degree in physical therapy from The Medical University of South Carolina in 1988. Her traditional therapy experience focused on the functional rehabilitation of the neurological client, with emphasis on the spinal cord injured population. She has worked in numerous health care settings, including long and short term care, inpatient rehab, outpatient, and home health.

With over 20 years of experience, Laurie has combined her extensive knowledge of functional rehabilitation with Integrative Manual Therapy (IMT) and is now the Director of the Spinal Cord Injury Program for CenterIMT, Inc. she has successfully integrated IMT with functional rehabilitation to provide her clients with optimal hope, potential and recovery. Laurie is teaching faculty for the Connecticut School of Integrative Manual Therapy (CSIMT) and has trained practitioners across the United States in IMT and functional rehabilitation.

Laurie worked at CenterIMT Bloomfield, CT for over 8 years, training with and working alongside leaders in the field of IMT. While in Connecticut, Laurie developed The Connecticut School of Integrative Manual Therapy (CSIMT), as well as the certification program for graduate of CSIMT. Currently living in Asheville, NC, Laurie is working at CenterIMT Asheville, where she remains a consultant for CSIMT.
 
 

 Kate Reynolds~Office Manager

Since 2003, Kate has been facilitating CenterIMT Asheville’s clients in their journey to wellness. A familiar presence at the front desk, Kate’s goal is to create a supportive environment for therapists and patients alike. "In my opinion, " says Kate "everyone who is treated here is a friend of the practice and deserves special attention."

A graduate of The School of Visual Arts in New York City, Kate has had a diverse professional life ranging from designing and analyzing custom marketing research to owning/operating an Italian deli and pizzeria in Key West. Kate has been a freelance journalist for over 20 years and has also created award winning editorial design and advertising, both on staff and through her own graphic design company. She is currently the Editor of Carolina Home + Garden magazine.

An avid reader, Kate also loves the cinema and has eclectic taste in music. She delights in trivia and is a cut-throat Scrabble player. Kate is an unashamed dog worshiper and comrade of cats. A sunny afternoon will usually find her tooling about in the garden or tending her beehives. Contra dancing and hiking keep her limber, bird watching renews her sense of wonder and interacting with the people she meets through her work affirms her faith in the beauty of the human spirit.
