Strain/Counterstrain Techniques for the Orthopedic & Neurologic Patient • 50:35 Minutes WE-V5
This tape is designed to explore the Neuromusculoskeletal systems, in order to integrate state-of-the-art manual therapy into the rehabilitation process for the Orthopedic and the Neurologic patient. Strain and Counterstrain Technique is an approach used to normalize abnormal neuromuscular physiology. Reduction and arrest of the inappropriate proprioceptor activity which is hypothesized as the basis of "muscle spasm" and also "spasticity" is achieved with this technique. The resulting muscle fiber relaxation and elongation from this decrease in "gamma-bias" is accompanied by improved articular balance, increased joint mobility and ranges of motion.

Advanced Manual Therapy for the Low Back (The Pelvis and Sacrum tapes are prerequisites for easy learning) WE-V7
There is an integrative answer to low back pain which realizes that the pain and disability in an endless population can be successfully addressed when all aspects of the patient's tissue and structural dysfunction are normalized.

A Patient in Process: The Effects of Integrative Manual Therapy on Pain and Disability WE-V8
Watch the instructor assess mechanical dysfunction in a patient with painful limitations in spinal mobility and observe the results of treatment with Muscle Energy Technique (Weiselfish Model), Strain & Counterstrain Technique and Fascial Fulcrum Release as developed by Weiselfish Ph.D. Assess first hand as Weiselfish combines an integration of knowledge and skills to show the effects of comprehensive assessment with intervention for recovery of spinal movement.
