Research and E-Journal

In 2006, CenterIMT headquarters in Bloomfield, CT opened a research lab to investigate the physiologic and biologic changes in a dedicated patient population as a result of IMT. This venture sets us apart as leaders in the field of investigation and clinical research of manual therapies. We are currently seeking both federally funded and private grants to pursue clinical research in this field.

Research and development at CenterIMT is constant. New techniques and protocols are created on a regular basis, based on clinical research and patient care. Currently, there are many IMT practitioners who are focusing their doctoral research on the field of IMT. This research is focused across all patient populations and includes research into the fields of autism, spinal cord injury, and Parkinson’s.

At CenterIMT, DCR, and CSIMT our commitment to education is paramount. The following on-line journal has been designed both as an aid to those taking our classes and to those in the medical community wishing to learn more about clinical documentation of Integrative Manual Therapy. These case reports have been written by continuing education students who are typically already practicing under a licensure in their chosen field. As of 2001, writing a case study became a pre-requisite of most of our coursework. Please visit our On-Line Journal often, as the journal will continue to grow as a resource.
