What is the Student Clinic?

The Student Clinic is an opportunity for us to provide the community with pro-bono treatment at minimal cost to the patient. The Clinic will be run by the third year students of The Connecticut School of Integrative Manual Therapy and supervised by faculty of CSIMT and CenterIMT.

 

Where is the Student Clinic?

The Student Clinic is being offered at CenterIMT headquarters in Bloomfield, CT. It will run for four consecutive evenings during the upcoming Academic Intensive weeks of February, May and July each year.  Our next clinic is April 29 - May 2, 2008. The time of the Student Clinic is: 6:00pm-8:00pm.

 

Details of the Student Clinic

The minimum amount of time that an individual can be seen, during this week, is a two-hour session. There is NO cost for evaluation and treatment. The first two hours will be limited to evaluation. Additional hours will be spent on treatment. The evaluation will include a physical assessment, including manual diagnostics with IMT, as well as an intake. In addition, the student practitioner will develop a treatment plan with the guidance of our faculty. There is the potential for someone to receive more then 2 hours. If the individual does not get seen during this Student Clinic or would like to receive additional treatment in the future as well, we have three Student Clinics planned every year: February, May, and July.

 

An Invitation

We would like to extend this opportunity to you. If you know of any individuals that are suffering from financial hardship and would like to receive IMT treatment, please give them the application-see next item on this webpage. These individuals must be NEW, FIRST-TIME IMT patients. The individual or their guardian will need to fill out an application.
