Degree Programs

Practitioners who have completed the Diploma Program and Certificate Program at the Connecticut School of Integrative Manual Therapy can go on to earn a degree through Westbrook University. An Internationally accredited University, Westbrook was founded in 1985 and began accepting degree students in 1989. Westbrook provides higher education with a holistic emphasis for accomplished individuals whose goals are to obtain undergraduate and/or graduate degrees through long distance learning. Structural courses taken through the Connecticut School of Integrative Manual Therapy will be accepted for credit towards a Westbrook degree. The Diploma in Integrative Manual Therapy is a prerequisite for continued studies through Westbrook.

Westbrook currently offers three degree programs related to Integrative Manual Therapy:

  • Bachelors Degree in Integrative Health Sciences
  • Masters Degree in Integrative Manual Therapy, Integrative Diagnostics, and Allied Health Sciences
  • Doctoral Degree in Integrative Manual Therapy, Integrative Diagnostics, and Rehabilitation for Commonable Health Sciences



Bachelors Degree in Integrative Health Sciences

  • The program will be 120 credit hours of academic work of which 35 credit hours must be in General Education with a 10 credit hour thesis in your subject area of not less than 10,000 words
  • The balance of academic studies, 75 credit hours, will be completed through attendance in DCR and CSIMT courses
  • The program must be completed within 10 years
  • Candidates will have the opportunity to transfer credits from DCR, CSIMT, or other institutions



Masters Degree in Integrative Manual Therapy, Integrative Diagnostics, and Allied Health Sciences

  • The program will be a minimum of 50 credit hours of study beyond the undergraduate level. It will consist of 30 credit hours through attendance in DCR and CSIMT courses, and a 20 credit hour thesis in your subject area of not less than 15,000 words
  • The program must be completed within 10 years
  • Candidates will have the opportunity to transfer credits from DCR, CSIMT, or other institutions



Doctoral Degree in Integrative Manual Therapy, Integrative Diagnostics, and Rehabilitation for Commonable Health Sciences

  • The program will be a minimum of 70 credit hours of study beyond the Masters level. It will consist of 40 credit hours through attendance in DCR and CSIMT courses, a 10 credit hour research project leading to a 20 credit hour dissertation in your subject area of not less than 25,000 words. All candidates must defend their finished dissertation to a Westbrook University committee. The doctoral candidate will need to complete three additional RP 600 (Data Gathering and Analysis, Research Methods, Professional Publishing Methods) classes and a research project leading into their dissertation
  • The program must be completed within 10 years
  • Candidates will have the opportunity to transfer doctoral level credits from previously attended DCR and CSIMT courses
