Kimberly Burnham Ph.D., L.M.T., I.M.T.,C.
Kimberly Burnham is the Director of VisionIMT and the Neurodegenerative Disorders Program atCenterIMT. Her primary clinical practice isin Bloomfield, Connecticut. As Director of VisionIMT, she pilots several clinical programs with a special focus on vision and eye conditions. Kim is also currently doing extensive research into recovery from neurodegenerative diseases, such as Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's, Multiple Sclerosis and ALS. She completed her PhD in Integrative Medicine in August of 2006. Her dissertation was entitled, "The Effect of Integrative Manual Therapy on the Symptoms of Parkinson's Disease".
Over the past 10 years, Kim has completed several nutritional programs, includingthe Functional Medicine Seminar through the Connecticut School of Integrative Manual Therapy; the Nutrition Specialist Program at PCDI, course work through the Institute of Functional Medicine in Neurology, Cardiovascular Health andAutoimmune Disorders; the New Vita Chinese Herbal Training, the Heel Homotoxicology Course and Biomeridian Training.
Kim is a graduate of the Sutherland-Chan Massage and Teaching Clinic and holds a BSc in Zoology from Brigham Young University. She completed 4 years of course work at the Canadian College of Osteopathy. Kim began her training in Integrative Manual Therapy in 1995, while in private practice in Toronto, Canada. She has been working at CenterIMT and The Connecticut School of IMT (previously known as: Dialogues in Contemporary Rehabilitation) since 1997.Prior to working in the health care field, Kim worked as a journalist and photographer. Shehas traveled extensively, including two years teaching English in Japan.
