Matthew Connell-Giammatteo, Ed.D.
Matthew Connell-Giammatteo, EdD is the Director of Operations for CenterIMT, Inc., an international network of progressive alternative health clinics, The Connecticut School of IMT (CSIMT), a private occupational school affiliated with CenterIMT, and Desert Light Health Associates (DLHA), a nutritional supplement company. Matthew received his Bachelors degree from Evergreen State College in Olympia, WA, focusing on Business, and Sustainable Agriculture and Energy Systems. During part of his undergraduate studies, he studied abroad at Ben Gurion University in Beer Sheba, Israel. He worked his way through undergraduate school by starting, building, and selling multiple businesses to finance his education.
Following his Bachelors, Matthew earned a Masters Degree in Education with a specialization in Special Education from St. Joseph College in Connecticut. During his time in Connecticut, he worked for the Hartford Association of Retarded Citizens (HARC) as a job coach and spent time in group home settings. Matthew began teaching at Hartford Public Schools in 2003, working with the city's "at risk" population in the largest high school in Hartford. He left the Hartford school system in 2007 to begin his current position. Matthew holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of Hartford. His Doctoral studies focused on the cutting edge field of Group Emotional Intelligence and its effect on organizational teams and productivity.
