Matthew Connell-Giammatteo, M.A.
Matthew Connell-Giammatteo is the Director of Academic Affairs for The Connecticut School of IMT (CSIMT) and Dialogues in Contemporary Rehabilitation (DCR). In addition, Matthew is the Director of Admissions for CSIMT. He began his post secondary education at Keene State College in New Hampshire. He spent part of his undergraduate education abroad at Ben Gurion University in Beer Sheba, Israel. Upon returning to the US, he moved out to Olympia, Washington and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Evergreen State College with a focus on Business and Sustainable Agriculture and Energy Systems. Following his Bachelors, Matthew earned a Masters Degree in Education with a specialization in Special Education from St. Joseph College in Connecticut. During his time in Connecticut, he worked for the Hartford Association of Retarded Citizens (HARC) as a job coach and spent time in group home settings. Matthew began teaching at Hartford Public Schools in 2003, working with the city's "at risk" population in the largest high school in Hartford. He left the Hartford school system at the end of the 2006-2007 school year to begin his current position as Director of Academic Affairs for The Connecticut School of IMT. Matthew is currently working on his Doctorate in Education at the University of Hartford.
